A documentation of the development of barotrauma as it develops. This release will continuously update until further notice as progress is made to finalize the song.

Originally the closing track to what was supposed to be my first project, Defeatism, this song dates back to May of 2021. I've changed since then. I have shed old, dead skin and been born anew. I wrote this song at a point in my life where I was desperate, on the edge of losing it all. Now after so much has changed, I skip back into my dead skin just the same. It feels right. This song feels right. I think a much younger, desperate, uncertain me would revel in these sounds; knowing that I made a connection, not just with other people who wanted to share a mutual expression, but with myself. I will watch myself as I am now in the years to come. Shed dead skin, and wear it anew.
